Our Story
Rex Bost founded Bost Custom Homes in 1986 with a simple conviction: building a home should be an enjoyable and creative process. From that first house in ’86, through the 90’s and early aughts, he built the company on a foundation of honest relationships, personal service, and an obsessive eye for detail.
In the early days, Rex was on every job site thinking through the details creatively, mastering the trades, collaborating with clients, and executing craftsmanship. Today, that hands-on approach is codified in our Guiding Principles and carried out by every member of the team.
As The Triangle continues to mature into one of the nation's most dynamic housing markets, Bost Custom Homes evolves—never chasing volume, always prioritizing artistry, honesty, and continuous learning. We've built in some of the area's most prestigious neighborhoods and earned a reputation defined by referrals, repeat clients, and homes that stand as testaments to craftsmanship.
Today, Bost Homes is an employee-owned partnership. Rex Bost, Evan Bost, Eric Sherman, and Lori Ozaki are at the helm with a combined 65 years’ experience in the company. Together they bring a balance of skillsets and fresh ideas while staying true to the principles that define our legacy. The mission hasn't changed: deliver an exceptional, one-of-a-kind home and an exceptional experience for every unique client.
