Rex is an outstanding builder and mentor. He has a true talent for bringing creativity into the process, allowing us to consistently deliver the “wow factor” time and time again. He is committed to not only delivering a positive experience to our clients, but also to providing an excellent, team-oriented environment for his employees.
- Where did you grow up?
- Didn’t
- How long have you been building?
- I started working on my father’s masonry sites when I was 12 years old, and have worked in construction ever since. Well, except for the years I was a full time musician.
- What are you known for professionally?
- Creativity. A drive for excellence in how we build. Transparent relationships with all we do business with.
- What brings you inspiration?
- Music, adventure, excellence, Christ, God’s beautiful nature.
- What do you love to do?
- Perform live music, be out on the water, and compete.
- Give us a nugget of wisdom:
- Life is a series of chapters – each end has a new beginning.
- If you were stranded on an island and could only have one food item, what would it be?
- Potatoes. I’ve said this long before the movie ‘The Martian’. It’s the most versatile edible object. However, some of my favorite foods are Eastern NC style pulled pork and steamed oysters.
- Have you any volunteer passions?
- Giving time to less fortunate people. I’ve joined multiple Christian based mission trips to Honduras, Haiti, and Central African Republic. I had a number of opportunities to share my building skills and compassion with people striving to better their lives. It’s always a deeply rewarding and humbling experience.
